Please note: Mirro Pressure Cookers are NOT recommended for use
on glass top/flat ranges. They are manufactured with a concave bottom,
meaning a large area of the bottom is not in contact with the heat source.
This will prevent the transfer of heat and not allow the cooker/canner
to come up to pressure if used on a flat top range.

Awesome Pressure Cooker

Love this little pressure cooker, however, I see in the comments that someone said they used it as a pressure canner. From what I have learned, you should NEVER use a pressure cooker to can foods. This is due to the fact that pressure cookers do not hold pressure in the same way that a canner does and this can lead to food spoilage and other unsavory side effects of not properly preserving your foods.

Love this!

I have a 7 quart pressure canner for harvest days, but for canning smaller batches this one is my favorite. I can cook up a giant pot of spaghetti and quickly can the leftovers. Instead of spending a weekend putting up food, I can add to my pantry day by day, processing a few pints or quarts of leftovers as I'm doing up the dishes from dinner.

It makes canning a regular part of life instead of a special huge project.

it is a very good cooker especially for the price, however i am wishing now that i would have gotten a larger size. if you cook for more than four people i would advise you to get a larger one.

I was blown away by the quality of this pressure cooker since it only cost me about 40 dollars. It cooks as well and as fast as any pressure cooker I have ever owned (which is two). The safety features are nice too. Next time I will probably get a bigger one that I can use when the family comes in.
