How To Make Homemade Salsa

Salsa Finished






Classic Salsa
Tomatoes (peeled and chopped)
10 lbs
Garlic (chopped)
10 Cloves
Cilantro (chopped)
1/3 Cup
White Vinegar
1 1/3 Cups
Salt
1/4 Cup
Ground Black Pepper
1 1/2 Tsp.
Cheyanne Pepper
1 1/2 Tsp.
Light Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup
Sugar
1/4 Cup
Lime Juice
2 Tbsp.
Cumin
1 Tsp.
Medium Onions (chopped)
6 Whole
Bell Peppers (chopped)
3 Cups
Jalapeno Peppers (chopped)
12 Whole
Chili Peppers (chopped)
5 Whole
Canned Tomato Paste
3 - 12 oz. cans

Make

  1. Combine tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, vinegar, salt, black pepper, cheyanne pepper, brown sugar, sugar, lime juice, and cumin in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Then add onions, and chopped peppers and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  4. Add tomato paste and simmer for another 10 minutes.


Salsa Simmering

Preserve

  1. Pour into jars, wipe off tops and put on lids and rings.
  2. Cover jars with water 1 - 2 inches over the jars.
  3. Process 15 minutes.
